In order to ensure students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for successful transition from high school to postsecondary studies and the workforce, Kentucky has focused on career pathway alignments that lead to industry certifications, certificates, diplomas and/or degrees aligned to state in-demand industry sectors and support occupations. This partnership with postsecondary and business/industry partners not only provides opportunities of value for students, but it also meets requirements outlined in Perkins V - Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act.
