The Kentucky Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Early Learning, Division of State Schools, Kentucky School for the Deaf, has an opening for an Administrative Specialist Senior at the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides high-level professional administrative support to school leadership at the Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD). Coordinates and oversees complex administrative processes related to instructional operations, procurement compliance, student services, and reporting requirements. Ensures alignment with local, state, and federal regulations while supporting continuous school improvement efforts.
- Coordinates logistics and documentation for professional development activities, including scheduling, tracking participation, and maintaining records aligned with Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) requirements.
- Supports the implementation and administration of the Kentucky School Testing System by assisting the District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) and Building Assessment Coordinator (BAC) with planning, logistics, materials management, documentation, and compliance monitoring.
- Supports procurement and fiscal-related administrative functions in accordance with KRS 45A, including preparation of documentation, tracking of purchases, and coordination with the Fiscal Manager to ensure compliance with state procurement requirements.
- Provides oversight and coordination of data management processes within Infinite Campus, including data entry validation, report generation, and compliance monitoring to ensure accuracy and timeliness of student records.
- Assists with the administration and tracking of programs such as Extended School Services (ESS), Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI), and mentorship initiatives, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Plans, organizes and prioritizes multiple complex administrative functions, ensuring deadlines are met and processes are executed efficiently across program areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Education:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Experience, Training, or Skills:
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute Education for Experience:
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Substitute Experience for Education:
Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for year basis.

Pay Grade: 13
Gross Monthly Salary Range: $3,273.74-$4,910.60
