The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Special Education and Early Learning, Division of State Schools, Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) in Danville, Kentucky (Boyle County) has an opening for a Student Development Associate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform beginning level duties in providing supervision and instruction to students at the Kentucky School for the Deaf.
Provide active and vigilant supervision to students in dormitories. Complete physical rounds every fifteen minutes.
Escort and supervise students to cafeteria, recreational activities and school sponsored events.
Provide tutoring and homework assistance to students with varying learning styles, abilities and motivational levels and monitor study time.
Plan and implement outings and educational programs to reinforce life skills and ASL/English mastery striving to provide the best language accessible learning environment.
Maintain records pertinent to dorm operations and discipline and decorate seasonally with home-like touches.
Supervise athletic practices and games.
Perform other duties as assigned.
