The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career & Technical Education and Student Transition (OCTE), Breckinridge County Area Technology Center in Harned, KY has an opening for a Law and Public Safety Instructor for the 2026-27 school year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;
ORMust hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;
ORFour years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
Special Requirements: Certification as a police officer/police instructor from Kentucky Law Enforcement Council.
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers' Retirement System.
