K - T Instructor (Culinary Arts)

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career & Technical Education (OCTE), Lincoln County Area Technology Center, Stanford KY, has an opening for a Culinary Arts Instructor. 

This position is advertised as part of KRS Chapter 156 OCTE for employment through the Office of Career and Technical Education. It is not subject to the provisions of KRS 18A for classified or unclassified service. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program. 

Performs other duties as required. 

Minimum Requirements 

EDUCATION:

Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught; 
 
OR 
 
Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught; 
 
OR 
 
Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years. 

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):

Associate Degree in Culinary Arts OR NOCTI Commercial Foods (cut score 55) and American Culinary Federation Professional Certification.

Salary dependent on qualifications, training, and experience. 
 
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers' Retirement System.
