Provide direct services to students, allowing them to access the curriculum and fully participate in the educational environment.
Interpret between signing students and non-signing students, administration and staff, in all aspects of the educational environment.
Interpret between signing staff and teachers and oral, hard of hearing or non-signing students, in all aspects of the educational environment.
Interpret between signing administration and non-signing administration, both on-campus and off-campus, for administrative meetings.
Prepare for demanding course material for the instructional setting, including those that require specific, technical terminology.
Provide instructional staff with relevant information, making recommendations regarding students' functional abilities, learning styles and communication accommodations in the classroom.
Teach ASL classes to teachers, staff and students.
Coordinate the ASL program, as directed by the English Mastery Project.
Perform other duties as assigned.
