Graphic Design Coordinator - 30024826

​DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform and coordinate the work of others and/or graphic design projects in the creation, development and production of printed, display and web-based materials or products used in informational and educational programs, marketing and advertising efforts, promotional or retain use or similar purposes.

Design, lays out and produces department publications, newsletters, brochures, signs, banners, displays or other products using the appropriate graphic design tools including large-format and desktop printers, laminator, dry-mount press and other tools as needed.

Create, develop and incorporate complex themes and designs to produce complete layout designs to produce layouts and designs that incorporate all components into products for promotional and marketing of informational and education material.

Create illustrations by hand when necessary. Proofs product to ensure it is free from spelling and other errors.

Maintain a library of photos for department usage. Work with designers to assemble & maintain a digital library of photos, images, complete projects & digital files for reproduction.

Recommend acquisition of software and hardware technology.

Coordinate managing the agency/department website & electronic publications.

Create computer generated designs for web pages and print projects using media methods & equipment for industry standard graphic design software.

Works closely with the digital accessibility coordinator to ensure all designs are accessible.

Perform other duties as assigned.

The agency may authorize the selected applicant to telecommute on a hybrid schedule. The agency may terminate or modify the telecommuting arrangement at any time. Telework will not be permitted outside the state of Kentucky.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
Must be a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in graphic design, commercial art, studio art or closely related field.

Experience, Training, OR Skills:

Two years of experience in graphic design.

EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:

None.

EXPERIENCE FOR EDUCATION:

Experience in one of the above areas will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Pay Grade:  14      

Gross Monthly Salary Range: $3,600.84 - $4,699.50
