The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Special Education and Early Learning, Division of State Schools, Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) in Danville, Kentucky (Boyle County) has an opening for Facility Maintenance Worker I.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs general maintenance work in the upkeep of buildings, grounds and associate equipment.
Maintains the general upkeep of ground areas.
Cut grass, trim shrubbery, lawn trimming, spray weeds, leaf removal, storm damage and debris cleanup.
Clean, maintain roads and playground equipment.
Performs janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas.
Change light bulbs and other minor electrical work when required.
Makes electrical repairs and minor repairs to heating and ventilating equipment.
Assist with changing HVAC filter.
Paints surfaces, operating machinery and equipment.
Keeps records and assists skilled trades person.
Make carpentry repairs to buildings and equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
