The Kentucky Department of Education(KDE),Office of Career and Technical Education and Student Transition, Belfry Area Technology Center, has an opening for a Kentucky Tech Center Principal.ā
āBelfry Area Technology Center is seeking a detailed and motivated individual to lead the area technology center. Belfry ATC will proudly serve students within Pike County Schools. Qualified candidates will be detailed individuals who demonstrate strong technology and team building skills. Candidates will also demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of career and technical education to students and stakeholders along with moral character and willingness to go the extra steps for students.
Duties and Responsibilities:Provide overall management and supervision of personnel, programs and curriculum development in a secondary vocational education center.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must hold one of the following:
Kentucky Vocational Principal's Certificate or Kentucky statement of Eligibility for Vocational School Principal
ORKentucky Secondary Principal's Certificate or Kentucky Statement of Eligibility for Secondary Principal, or a valid Kentucky Certificate for Career & Technical Education
ORKentucky Department of Education Vocational Technical School Certificate in Administration, Supervision, and Coordination issued prior to 1988.
OR Have completed all coursework requirements and will receive a Kentucky Vocational Principal's Certificate or a Kentucky Secondary Principal's Certificate within one year of initial hire date.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:None.
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System.
Salary: Dependent upon rank and experience.
