STLP schools are to make sure the judge knows to review the documents. The rubric and planner can change each year, so judges need to review these documents before arriving on site to judge showcase projects.
NOTE: ALL judges need to bring a clip board, pencil and wear comfortable shoes. Dress is casual. Eat a good meal. Judging will take time and be during the usual meal time.
Schools marked the online registration form the way in which a judge is certified to judge projects at Fall Showcase or at State Championship.
When does the judge for projects report?
FALL: 9:00-9:30 Local Time
STATE: 9:30 Lexington Time (EST)
What do judges do?
Each site has a room for judges to sign in and get counted as representing their school. Signage should direct judges to the room.
Judges sign in and choose a judging group.
Final Training
Final training will begin at 9:15. Judges will go on the floor by 10:00.
Judges should not depart until all assigned schools have been judged and final scores are recorded. Plan for 3.5 hours to complete judging once it begins. The entire team is to turn in final judging folders.

FALL SHOWCASE DETAILS
Showcase Project Judges may be certified by the STLP Coordinator :
1. Persons that have been a project judge in the past are AUTOMATICALLY CERTIFIED. No other steps are required, but we recommend the experienced judge review the 2010-2012 showcase project rubric.
2. New judges are to review all downloaded documents below for Fall Showcase or State Championship by working alone, or with the STLP Coordinator or TIS.
The downloads are rubrics, a 5 minute explanation of the rubrics and the judges facts to review.
