Engineers employed with the Cabinet visit schools throughout the state to discuss the applications of math and science in daily situations and the opportunities and challenges available to students in the field of engineering.

 

NCTM: Illuminations F

Illuminations is designed to: Provide Standards-based resources that improve the teaching and learning of mathematics for all students. Provide materials that illuminate the vision for school mathematics set forth in Principles and Standards for School Mathematics. Illuminations is part of the prestigious Verizon Thinkfinity program.

Math and Logic Problems Galore F

Math and logic problems might seem intimidating to some, but there are educational websites galore making them fun and entertaining. From word problems, puzzles, and ancient games like Nonograms to logic brain teasers, there is something here for everyone.

Teaching Children Mathematics (TCM) offers activities, lesson ideas, teaching strategies, and problems through in-depth articles, departments, and features. Great resources for elementary teachers, preservice teachers, and teacher educators. Article downloads are free to individual members that subscribe to Teaching Children Mathematics.

 

Project M3: Mentoring Mathematical Minds $

Project M3: Mentoring Mathematical Minds is a new research-based mathematics program for gifted and talented students in grades 3, 4, and 5.

 

Intermediate (4-5)

Student Explorations in Mathematics  offers great resources for teachers and teacher educators at grades 5-10. Downloads are free to individual members of NCTM.
