If you work for a Kentucky school district:

You will need to use your assigned work e-mail address (firstname.lastname@district.kyschools.us). This e-mail address will become your CIITS user name. See your school or district technology coordinator if you do not have such an e-mail address. Using your personal or home e-mail address will not work for logging into CIITS.

Once you receive your temporary password and log in for the first time, you will be required to change your password. Your new password must be 6-12 characters long, include only numbers and letters, contain at least one letter and one number, and be easy to remember.

You will need separate KET Encyclomedia: Discovery Education and SAS Curriculum Pathways user names and passwords to access instructional materials in CIITS. If you do not have this login information, click on the links above. For KET Encyclomedia: Discovery Education, choose “register”; for SAS, select your district from the dropdown and then fill in the requested information.

If you are a KDE employee:

If your name has been submitted to the CIITS team for access to the system, you will need to use your KDE e-mail address (firstname.lastname@education.ky.gov) for logging into CIITS.  Using your personal or home e-mail address will not work for logging into CIITS. Most KDE employees who have access will have access only to standards and aggregate data. If you do not have access to CIITS and believe you need it for your job, or think you need greater access, please contact your director or associate commissioner.

For District Name, please select Kentucky Department of Education from the drop down menu.

If you do not work for a Kentucky school district or the Kentucky Department of Education:

We regret that you do not have CIITS access at this time due to the need to validate user identities in order to protect student information as required by FERPA. We are working on a solution that will allow access to CIITS and scrambled CIITS student data. We appreciate your patience while such a solution is being developed.

In the meantime, you may still access the Kentucky Core Academic Standards in English/Language Arts and Mathematics, English/Language Arts deconstructed standards,  Mathematics deconstructed standards, Core Content for Assessment 4.1 and Program of Studies on the KDE website.  You may also use your KET Encyclomedia: Discovery Education and SAS Curriculum Pathways accounts to access instructional materials directly. If you do not have this login information, click on the appropriate link above and choose “register” or “subscribe now” to sign up for a free account.
