Do you have students who are consistently less engaged or interested than others in class activities?
Do you have students who are consistently among your low performers in class?

Do you have students who are of the same background (gender, ethnic, socio-economic, native language) who perform at the same level but that level is consistently different from groups of other backgrounds?

If you had any YES answers, you have a GAP.
If you have any student who is not performing according to Kentucky's high standards and expectations, you have a gap (in your classroom).
When a teacher stops teaching the class and starts teaching each student, the gap will close.
