The Office of Career and Technical Education and the Kentucky Department of Education are in a continuous process of improving the TEDS system to better serve all of our stakeholders. Stakeholders include districts, schools, universities, businesses and the US Department of Education.
Any recent change or upcoming change to TEDS or the TEDS tab in Infinite Campus will be posted here for all stakeholders to view.
July 22nd - Infinite Campus Attend Hours Change - The attend hours field in Infinite Campus has changed to three fields instead of one. This change requires schools to select either semester or trimesters and depending on the selection, either two or three attend hour fields become available. Schools should enter the number of hours a student takes a career major/program each day in the field for each semester/trimester. An example would be, John Smith takes Engineering, cipcode 15.0000, 1.14 hours per day in the fall and 2.28 hours in the spring. I would select semesters, and then enter 1.14 in Term 1 and 2.28 in Term 2.
September - 2011-2012 Infinite Campus Inactive Logic - The logic in Infinite Campus changed so that whenever a student's IC enrollment is end-dated, it marks the student's TEDS records, that have a start date before the end-date and do not have a termination status, to 99:Inactive (Not Terminated) and will end-date those TEDS records.
October - 2011-2012 TEDS Attend Hours Change - The attend hours field in TEDS has changed to three fields that match the Infinite Campus Attend Hours. There is one difference between IC and TEDS. In TEDS you will not select Semesters or Trimesters before entering your attend hours. You will however follow all of the same procedures other than this for entering your data.
January 2012 - The TEDS tab in Infinite Campus has been updated for CIP Codes. All career pathways are now available for use in the CIP Code dropdown.
February 2012 - The TEDS Duplicator Federal ID report has been fixed. Only those students who have more than one program marked with the federal id or students who do not have any programs marked as the federal id will show on this report now.
Upcoming 2012 Change - TEDS will be the authoritative source for all career readiness data beginning spring 2012. TEDS is currently being updated to allow entry of WorkKeys and ASVAB data as well as a state import file from both assessments.
