Perkins Accountability

Career and Technical Education in Kentucky is responsible for meeting the performance measures outlined in the federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act in order to receive federal funding.

Kentucky's state plan outlines the process and timeline for Perkins accountability.


 

Accountability Reports
The District and School Career and Technical Education Profiles, Kentucky Occupational Skill Standards Assessments Reports, and Perkins Performance Measures Annual Report indicate the status of districts regarding Perkins accountability.

The assurances from Title I:  Part C of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act can be found here.


 

Career Pathway
Perkins IV requires each eligible recipient to create at least one high school Career & Technical Education Career Pathway that includes secondary and postsecondary education elements.


 

Course Offerings Form
School districts must submit course offering information to KDE no later than June 1st. This information my be submitted at any time prior to June 1st to expedite the approval process and the release of Perkins funds to the district. These are suggested strategies and activities that may be used in the development of a district plan and to address the Performance measures not met by Perkins with specific strategies/activities for increasing Career & Technical Education student achievement.


 

Strategies for Increasing Nontraditional Enrollment
