Communication and Careers is hosted by the National Communications Association.  The site contains a discussion of available jobs in the field as well as a list of related jobs within other fields. 

 

Journalism Jobs

Journalism Jobs.com gives viewers the chance to examine job descriptions in all areas of journalism as well as review career articles, view media salaries, and remain up to date on industry happenings.  The site also has links to various media sources for job seekers to use. 

 

Information Architecture

Within the Kent State University web site contains material concerning careers in architecture and information architecture.  This site includes sample job titles, employer links and contact information as well as resources to professional architecture organizations.

 

Digital Dreamer

This site includes good background information on the field of graphic design as well as a school search, and a guide to obtaining a career in graphic design. 

 

Telecom Careers

Telecom Careers contains the latest news on the telecom industry along with magazines focusing on a variety of telecom jobs.  This site also provides a career center with job listings, resume posting, salary surveys, career planning, and education requirement for careers in telecommunications.

 

Princeton Review

The Princeton Review provides students with information on a variety of career and educational opportunities.  The site includes career placement testing, career planning, internship information, and interviewing skills.  Also, the Princeton Review provides a large college and university database that includes information such as degree programs, enrollment size, and student/teacher ratio.

 

Vocational Information Center

This great site allows students to explore vocational and technical careers, check out the skills employers really want, find a trade school, research technical topics, and take a look at the current job market within their chosen field.

 

Bureau of Labor Statistics

This site provides information about various careers in an easy-to-read format.  A description of what each job is like, what the future holds for the jobs, and what preparation is needed for success in the jobs are also included in this site.  There are also links to more information about jobs in this area.
