News Advisory 07-032 - May 18, 2007

            (FRANKFORT, Ky.) – The School Curriculum, Assessment and Accountability Council (SCAAC) will meet Tuesday, May 22, in the State Board Room on the first floor of the Capital Plaza Tower in Frankfort.

            The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. Agenda items include discussion of norm-referenced testing, an update on ACT implementation and standards-setting.

             The 17 voting member council, appointed by the governor, advises the Kentucky Board of Education on the testing and accountability system and curriculum issues.
