News Advisory 04-041 -- August 30, 2004

(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- Eleven community forums across the state will provide opportunities for citizens to share their thoughts and experiences and provide input on Kentucky's plan for early childhood development.

In September 2000, the state Early Childhood Development Authority adopted the KIDS NOW 20-Year Comprehensive Task Force report as Kentucky's early childhood plan. This state plan is based on the broad vision that all young children in Kentucky are healthy and safe, possess the foundation that will enable school and personal success, and live in strong families that are supported and strengthened within their communities.

Kentucky has received an Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Grant, which provides the opportunity to review the early childhood state plan. Public input is being sought through the regional forums. All times are local in the listing below.
