(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- The State Advisory Panel for Exceptional Children invites education leaders, parents, professionals and other interested citizens to express their issues, concerns and comments at a public hearing scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, at the Bell County High School Library in Pineville.
The hearing is part of a meeting for the panel, whose primary purpose is to advise the Kentucky Department of Education on unmet needs in the education of children and youth with disabilities.
The panel meets four times each year in January, April, June and October and is appointed by the Governor. The public hearing provides opportunity for public comment regarding services to exceptional children.
