(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- Kentucky Education Commissioner Gene Wilhoit will visit Marshall County High School as part of his tour of state high schools over the next few weeks.
The visits are designed to give school staffs, students and administrators opportunities to discuss issues, activities and challenges with the commissioner. Many of the schools to be visited have shown marked progress in the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (CATS), have low dropout rates or have implemented programs to meet their students' individual needs.
Previously, he visited Woodford County High School, Male High School and Pikeville High School.
The Marshall County visit will take place on Tuesday, March 25, beginning at 11:30 a.m. (CST). The commissioner will tour the school, then meet with teachers, students and administrators.
Dates and times for the remaining visits have not yet been finalized, but will be announced soon.
