The new KDE Web site offers a number of features that can help you find content. This section of the site explains how to make the most of your visit.
This new site has a powerful search function that is available on every page on the site. We encourage you to use the search function to find your content, then bookmark those pages you use the most. Our new site map is, in effect, a huge menu of everything that is available on the site. To open it, click on "Site Map" in the main menu (the blue bar at the top of the home page), then expand all three of our main categories, or just the one you think contains what you need.
Besides the Site Map, the blue bar offers three main categories:
About Schools & Districts leads to a variety of information about just that: How to contact schools and districts, school report cards, school and district profiles, school and district web sites, etc.
Instructional Resources, which leads to functions or activities that typically happen - or directly affect what happens - in the classroom.
Administrative Resources, which leads to functions and activities that are primarily administrative in nature.
When you click on any of these three categories, you'll note that the menu along the left-hand margin changes.
As you click on those links in the left-hand menu, you'll also note that the list expands to show sub-categories available under each main heading. For example, if you click on Administrative Resources, and then on Finance & Funding, you'll see that the choices under Finance & Funding change, exposing two sub-categories: "Federal Program Funding" and "School Finance." Click on either of those, and the menu will expand again to show you the choices available under each of those categories. Descriptions for each of the categories in the left-hand menu are available within the body of each page (to the right of the left-hand menu). You can get to any of these categories from either the left-hand menu or the body of the page.
