The Architectural Standards Committee (ASC) was created to foster standardized IT components and services.
The ASC is comprised of 13 people, a representative from each region, a KDE representative, and facilitators from KIDS. The ASC has been commissioned to allow for local district direction for standards development. ASC members must first agree that a standard is needed, KIDS Engineers draft the standard that the committee members review and solicit input from districts within their region before voting on recommendation of standard. The ASC recommendation is submitted to the Office of Knowledge Information Data systems (KIDS) Leadership for final approval.
