Districts can purchase McAfee from a state contract held by Dell Computer Corp (C-05110039). Pricing can be downloaded from the appropriate Contract Order Forms. Licensing and use information is as follows:
By purchasing a license(s) of McAfee, the customer is granted the right to install the Active Virus Defense Suite on an equal number of nodes (desktop or server) as the number of license(s) purchased, for a period of one year. The original license purchase grants the customer with the right to updates of the Active Virus Defense engine and any DATs issued during that one year period. At the end of the license period, Active Virus Defense must be renewed in one-year increments to continue receiving updates.
When installing Active Virus Defense on a server, all desktops connecting to the server must also be licensed with a copy of the McAfee Active Defense Suite.
