Staff and students can connect to webmail at www.outlook.com by providing their e-mail addresses and passwords. However, as of June 30, customers will have to specify the latter part of their e-mail address (education.ky.gov) after outlook.com.

For example:

- The new KDE address for webmail will be http://outlook.com/education.ky.gov

- The new Kentucky School for the Blind address for webmail will be http://outlook.com/ksb.kyschools.us

- The new Kentucky School for the Deaf address for webmail will be http://outlook.com/ksd.kyschools.us

Anyone who has created links to Outlook.com via bookmarks or written documentation will need to update these links. The Live@edu link on the KDE website has been configured to automatically detect and accommodate this change. This change does not affect handheld devices.

Outlook.com will work after June 30, but users will be prompted for information twice. The first prompt will ask for their e-mail addresses and passwords as usual. However, the second prompt will ask them to enter their “domain,” which is “education.ky.gov” for KDE, “ksb.kyschools.us” for KSB and “ksd.kyschools.us” for KSD. By using the new address, they will avoid seeing this second prompt.
