This section provides financial, technical, and administrative support from Commonwealth of Kentucky and U.S. Department of Education sources. This support is available to local school districts to assist them with ensuring efficient and effective use of resources, and achievement of high state and federal student assessment goals.
Budgets
The primary charge of this staff is the supervision of all aspects of KDE’s annual and biennial budget creation and application. School Finance provides support regarding funding, budgeting, accounting, reporting and statewide on-site administrative assistance. In addition, school finance supports local district employee benefit programs, i.e., health and life insurance and flexible spending accounts; and provides oversight regarding attendance reporting, bonding, leasing and other finance related issues.
