ARRA Federal Cash Requests, May 2009

In a letter dated May 1, 2009, districts were notified of the amount of stimulus funds awarded to them as a result of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Attached is a new Federal Cash Request (FCR) form that should be used to claim reimbursement for eligible ARRA expenditures.  Also attached are general instructions on completing this form.  While the process for ARRA FCR reimbursement is the same as the process you are currently using, the instructions have been modified to include ARRA terminology. Updated standard FCR forms will be sent to you sometime in June.   

The ARRA Federal Cash Request form has been designed for reimbursement of stimulus funds only.  It is important that we keep a separate account of ARRA funds for federal audit and reporting purposes. Specific cells on this form have been locked to assist the department in the federal reporting process.

If your district has incurred ARRA expenditures and are requesting reimbursement, only those requests submitted on this form will be approved for payment.  Please do not modify or create your own spreadsheet.   This will only delay your payment.  As additional ARRA funds are available, KDE will modify and redistribute the ARRA FCR form for your use. 

It is important to note that the final request for reimbursement of expenditures for ARRA stimulus funds must be submitted by December 9, 2011.  Please make note of this as requests after this date will be denied.
